HD-TVI stands for High Definition Transport Video Interface. It is a DSP-TVI technology developed by Techpoint (2012), the Chipset was sold to Intersil. Hikvision and HanBang placed this technology into their new product. Hanbang successfully developed the TVI solution and solved HD-SDI's previous problems. TVI can convert the digital signals to analog ones, extends the transmission distance, reduces total cost and takes less storage capacity.

The Chinese company Hikvision is the largest camera manufacturer using this HD-TVI technology with Techpoint chips. HD TVI offers a vastly superior image quality, for a similar price to analog CCTV technology. If you already have a traditional CCTV system in place, simply replacing the DVR to a HD TVI one and replacing or adding new TVI based cameras will mean you can upgrade to FULL HD video, at little expense.
